Raja reclaims his throne
There's a certain charm in watching old celluloid favourites on the big screen. Bringing back the charm of the 90s, is a screening of the Govinda-Karishma starrer, Raja Babu. This was a golden time for the David Dhawan-Govinda combination, Where the duo made it seem like they could do no wrong. In the words of film historian SMM Ausaja, Dhawan is "poor man's Manmohan Desai". "He lacked Desai's finesse, but scored on mass appeal. Govinda is a phenomenal actor and a dancer. Karishma Kapoor was among the few heroines that could match his steps. Their crackling chemistry and Govinda's inimitable bumpkin charm is ideal fodder for audience across sections. That makes Raja Babu a timeless comedy."
