Feel-good food
Food and creativity go hand in hand, and so, we are always looking for ways to amp up the eating scenes at work. Recently, we Called for grub from The Kraft Kitchen, a new delivery service that has launched in Khar, and the fare made us abandon our diet plans altogether. We particularly liked the TKK Bharta (R245) and Peshawari kebab (R255), which was enough to satisfy our North Indian food cravings. For those who don't mind the chilli kick, we recommend the Fish Oyster Chilli (R275). The prices are reasonable for the portions. Started by a team of food enthusiasts, led by Buntoo Singh, the dishes have been inspired by family recipes. More power to the fam!

Whenever we have looked at a Humans of New York photo, with its perfect setting and just the right words, haven't we wondered what must have been said before and after that moment? Humans of New York, The series, is a an answer to just that. Brandon Stanton takes his photo documentation one step forward, taking us deeper into his interviews through this video series. The most recent in the series, on relationships, has a distinct Love Actually vibe to it. It takes away the enigma for the single picture, but they manage to show the million possibilities each frame carries.
Heartbreak is art
Sam Smith makes us believe once again that the only way one must deal with heartbreak is by making art out of it. In his case, it's his sixth number 1 song, Too Good at Goodbyes. We absolutely love the song. It has the trademark Sam Smith melancholic style and the lyrics are beyond brilliant. “I'm never gonna let you close to me; even though you mean the most to me; Cause every time I open up, it hurts.” Smith has said that this song is all about him updating his fans about “my love life, which is still going terribly.” Well, as long as we get a hit song out of it.

Sept 23-24, 10 am to 5 pm: Tall Tales founder Michael Burns returns to Mumbai for another session of his storytelling workshop. This session, however, promises to stand apart from previous ones. There will be new concepts introduced, exercises, games and group work, to teach how stories are structured and how a piece of writing can be transformed. Writers of any level of experience can sign up for the two-day workshop. Participants can also sign up for either of the days, should they wish to. Good news for previous attendees of Tall Tales workshops — they get to sign up for free. Prior registration will be required.

Kill it like Kenny
Sept 20, 8 pm to 9 pm: Bangalore-based ace comedian Kenny Sebastian is back in Mumbai to induce another round of guffaws. With over 1000 shows across the country, he has also performed at corporate shows for some of the biggest multi-nationals like Google, Wipro, Infosys and Adobe.
He's one of the few Indian comics to have hosted a show on Comedy Central and has also released four comedy specials online, along with India's first sci-fi comedy web series, Starboyz.

Cinema's vintage charm
Till Oct 8, 11 am to 6 pm: The National Gallery of Modern Art is hosting a retrospective of ace photographer Jeetendra Arya's works, curated by photo historian, professor and filmmaker Sabeena Gadihoke. The exhibition, titled Light Works, comprises some rare images of film industry veterans Raj Kapoor, Dev Anand, Suchitra Sen, Satyajit Ray and even Clark Gable. Highlights of the exhibition include an iconic Meena Kumari image that was photographed on the sets of Pakeezah, which later graced the cover of Filmfare magazine in 1972.
