Beaches: Alibaug
Well-known for its fresh air, clean water and blackest sand of the region, Alibaug is situated at the south of Mumbai. This town is the headquarters of Raigad district and offers a captivating mix of tranquil surroundings, sleepy fishing villages, and a number of beaches, making it a popular weekend getaway. Inu00a0monsoon, water sports are not operational but surroundings are green. The beach is very lively throughout the day with swimmers in the morning and food stalls offering local food in the evening.u00a0

Hill station: Mulshi
Eye-catching greenery surrounded with a blue lake, gives a reason to forget the scorching heat for few days. This picturesque location is ideal not only for groups but also for those seeking some alone time away from work. Considered as the best weekend, Mulshi is a paradise less explored despite of its amazing climate. Some of the other mesmerising locations around this hill station includes the Pawana Dam and the Tahmini Ghat.

Inhale the aromas of nature amidst free-flowing wind and chirping of birds at Rusticville. Situated near Lonavala, the scenic Pawana Lake and Sausage Hills, Rusticville offers the rustic feel of village life that is not possible otherwise in the hurried life of the city. Another attraction nearby is the youngsters’ favourite Bhushi Dam.

Romantic: Mahabaleshwar
Part of the Satara district, Mahabaleshwar is a hill station located in the Western Ghats range. Home to one of the few evergreen forests of India, Mahabaleshwar, served as the summer capital of Bombay Province during the British Raj. The spots here are very beautiful, including the temples. The old style architecture is also noticeable. The atmosphere is very good and cold throughout the year except in May. But then also, it gets chilly in the night even
in May.
