Accountants responsible for Best Picture mishap won't be associated with Oscars again
Recently released backstage photos from the Oscar ceremony have shed light on the incidents that led to the eventual mishap at Hollywood's biggest awards night, when the crew of La La Land enjoyed only a brief taste of victory before being compelled to hand the Best Picture gong to Moonlight.

In the images, Pricewaterhouse Coopers' (the company that manages the Oscar ballots) Brian Cullinan, who was charged with handing out the envelopes to the presenters, is seen gawking at the television screen, watching actress Emma Stone accept the Best Actress trophy from earlier that evening.
Holding a bunch of envelopes, Cullinan then handed the incorrect one to presenters Warren Beatty and Faye Dunaway before they went on stage.
Academy president Cheryl Boone Isaacs said Cullinan and Martha Ruiz (above), also a PwC account, were responsible for the mix-up. He confirmed that neither of the two would be involved with the Oscars in any way in future.
