Akshara Haasan has disappeared from the promotions of her second Bollywood film, Laali Ki Shaadi Mein Laaddoo Deewana. The actress remains incommunicado, much to the chagrin of the makers. Reality show appearances with co-stars Vivaan Shah and Gurmeet Chaudhary have been lined up since the film is slated to release on April 7, but with Akshara missing in action, promotional activities have come to a grinding halt.

At a recent film event, Vivaan and Gurmeet were spotted romancing her life-size cutout from the posters.
Says director Manish Harishankar, "She was co-operative during the film's shoot. I really don't know what has gotten into her now. She remains incommunicado. Repeated calls have gone unanswered. Her manager says she is tied up with other commitments. She only attended the trailer launch followed by media interaction."
The makers understood that after her filmmaker-uncle Chandrahasan's death earlier this month, she needed some time off to mourn and so, they let her be. However, even days later, she continues to remain unavailable.
Sources say she was miffed when the trailer launch started late. There is also buzz that Akshara is in no mood to promote the film on rumoured beau Tanuj Virwani's insistence. For starters, there were rumours of Akshara and Laali Ki Shaadi… co-star Vivaan being an item.
Manish adds, "We were slated to be on Kapil Sharma's show, but everyone wants to know why the heroine is missing. I wish she would tell us what is going on in her mind."
Akshara, however, says, "I did make it to certain promotions, but couldn't attend a few others due to my uncle's demise."
