Bollywood superstar Akshay Kumar has unveiled a new poster of 'Toilet: Ek Prem Katha' ahead of the trailer launch on June 11.

Akshay Kumar took to Twitter to share the poster and wrote, "Ek TOILET Revolution!!! Starts in 2 days... TOILET TRAILER IN 2DAYS"

Akshay's "Toilet: Ek Prem Katha" is reportedly inspired by the Swachh Bharat Abhiyan initiated by Prime Minister Narendra Modi.

A love story with a satirical flavour, the movie is directed by Shree Narayan Singh, and produced by Aruna Bhatia, Plan C Studios and Abundantia, and presented by Viacom18 Motion Pictures and KriArj Entertainment.

It will be the first time that Akshay will be featuring in a film with the "Dum Laga Ke Haisha" star Bhumi. The project also marks Akshay and actor Anupam Kher's 20th film together.

The film revolves around the need for toilets for sanitation in India and this message is conveyed through a love story in the film 'Toilet: Ek Prem Katha'.

Akshay Kumar's 'Toilet: Ek Prem Katha' will take on Shah Rukh Khan and Anushka Sharma's  'Jab Harry Met Sejal' with Imtiaz Ali on Independence Day weekend this year.

As Akshay Kumar gears up for the release of 'Toilet: Ek Prem Katha' themed around PM Narendra Modi's pet project, Swachh Bharat Abhiyan, we hear another film on the sanitation campaign is in the works.

'Good Morning Sunshine', helmed by Sanjay Nag, stars Revathy, Rituparna Sengupta, Tejaswani Kolhapure and Shweta Tripathi, with a cameo by Shabana Azmi. What's more, the film also features Priyanka Bharti, who set off a social revolution by fleeing her marital home since it didn't have a toilet.

In the last few years, Akshay Kumar's image has undergone a transformation from that of an action star to one who chooses films which are socially relevant and delivers a message. 'Special 26', 'Airlift', 'Baby' and the upcoming 'Toilet: Ek Prem Katha' are cases in point.

There's also 'Pad Man' that Akshay Kumar is doing. The film is a biopic on a man who introduced affordable sanitary napkins for the benefit of women.
