Akshay Mhatre and Sheen Das, the lead pair of Sooraj Barjatya’s new show, Piyaa Albela, are constantly trying to push the envelope.
During a schedule in Rishikesh, the duo had to not only brave the 4 am breeze, but also take a dip in the freezing water for a shot. Says Akshay, “Multiple shots had to be canned for the river sequence. We would change into spare clothes after every take and wait for the team to dry our outfits to be able to wear them in the next scene. Initially, we couldn’t go inside the water for 10 minutes, so the team decided to throw us in instead. It took us six hours to shoot that scene. It was one of the longest scenes [that we have done] till date.”
