Speculation over Alia Bhatt and Shah Rukh Khan teaming up again seems to have been put to rest. The 'Dear Zindagi' (2016) duo will come together for Aanand L Rai's next, which also stars Katrina Kaif. Last month, a photograph of SRK, Alia and the filmmaker at the Dubai airport hit social media, suggesting that Rai had found his second female lead.

Initially, in what was termed as a casting coup, Rai had got Deepika Padukone on board, given the actress' frosty equation with Kat - ex-flame of her former beau Ranbir Kapoor. Dippy, however, was compelled to let go of the project due to unforeseen schedule changes of her period drama, 'Padmavati'.
A unit hand informs, "Alia Bhatt is yet to sign on the dotted line, but has verbally committed to the film. The three actors will start prepping once Katrina Kaif completes the ongoing Abu Dhabi schedule of her film with Salman Khan. Rai plans to take the project on floors later this year."
