British boxer Amir Khan's friends claimed that his estranged wife, Faryal Makhdoom had threatened to "destroy him".

According to British tabloid, The Sun, Amir was desperate to leave Faryal two years ago, and the renowned pugilist told his friends that the couple were "living in hell". Faryal had also vowed to expose Amir's extent of his hard-partying and womanising.
"Amir has wanted to leave Faryal for two years. But every time an argument blew up, she would tell him he was dreaming if he thought he could divorce her and it would be her divorcing him. She said divorce could destroy him. He would lose his money, sponsors, his fan base, everything," one of Amir's friends told The Sun yesterday.
