Ridingâu00c2u0080u00c2u0088on Ashutosh Balla's unbeaten 133 and Nilay Pawar's 97 Don Bosco (Matunga) beat St Paul's (Dadar) by 220 runs in a first round match of Giles Shield under-14 tournament at Cross Maidan yesterday.


Batting first Don Bosco scored 348 for three in 45 overs and in reply bundled out the Dadar team for 128 in 31 overs. Off-spinner Ritesh Nalawade (5-14) and left-arm spinner Yash Kripal (2-17)were the wrecker in chief. Aryan Kale (45) was the only notable scorer for St Paul's.

In another match Ved Prakash Jaiswal's unbeaten 172, Harsh Salunkhe's 48 not out and Rajan Yash's 34 helped IES VN Sule Guruji Vidyalaya (Dadar) beat Vibgyor School by a huge margin of 375 runs. Dadar scored 457-1 and later bowled Vibgyor School for a paltry 82.
