The centering exercises and movements in the workshop are part of the Gurdjieff Sacred Movements. These are structured, choreographed dances created to music that was composed for the dance by 20th-century mystic and philosopher George Gurdjieff and his student Thomas De Hartmann.

In the practice of these movements, Gurdjieff gave importance to three main centres of our existence - the physical, the mental, and the emotional. "In our daily life, it often happens that the three centres are working independently of each other. For example, the heart wants to be with a loved one or is concerned about the child at school, while the body is at work and the mind is busy planning a holiday - we live our days disintegrated. These dances help unify our existence," informs Nath, who will also introduce participants to the practice of whirling.
