Food trucks in India do not have got a licence to operate, and are generally limited to being stationary and operating as food kiosks. But this hasn't dimmed people's enthusiasm and nearly every week comes news of yet another food truck. The latest is Scoopalicious, started by the team behind the Bombay Food Truck Company. True to its name, the new truck will serve scoops of ice cream in waffle cones.

The truck launched September 11. The customised flavours have 100 per cent pulp, and are organic and blended with natural flavours; there are no preservatives. Look out for flavours like Mango Chilli, Dark chocolate cookie, Mocha Bourbon Boondie, Ripe coconut Modak, Jaggery and Dates. The pink truck has suggestive images of women riding cones and licking an ice cream stick. Ice cream gourmands can cheer as the truck has plans to serve vegan and liquor-based ice creams too.
