German tennis legend Boris Becker has slammed reports of a split from his wife of eight years, Lilly Becker. The former Wimbledon champ (49) replied to rumours about his marriage with a tweet yesterday describing his brunette beauty as his "love".

Posting an image of Lily, Becker captioned it: "Happy birthday my love! Through thick and thin..."
The news comes hours after British tabloid, The Sun, reported his marriage was in tatters after last week's bankruptcy ruling, which declared him insolvent over a £3million debt.
Becker's post garnered plenty of re-tweets with well-wishers urging him to be strong.
