Sonam Kapoor made her first appearance at the Cannes Film Festival 2017 wrapped in six yards. She chose a psychedelic Nor Black Nor White Shimma saree and a high-neck blouse. This was her way of paying tribute to her Hollywood idol, Cher as it was the legend's 71st birthday on May 20. Sonam posted a series of Instagram posts in praise of Cher, who's considered one of the most fashionable stars. She wrote, "Until you're ready to look foolish, you'll never have the possibility of being great.

For her first red carpet this year, Sonam Kapoor decided to go for a blush-coloured beautifully-fitted Elie Saab gown. The actress' simple and radiant look in the embellished chiffon gown was praised by fashionistas and fans alike.

The 31-year-old actress recently won a National Award (Special Mention) for her role in 'Neerja' and will soon start filming for her 'Veerey Di Wedding' with co-stars Kareena Kapoor Khan and Swara Bhaskar and will be directed by her sister.
