From a century on Test debut to a Daddy Hundred in the 1999 World Cup, Sourav Ganguly has done plenty to assert himself on his tours of England. But, ask fans for one image of Ganguly in England and you will always return to is of the Indian captain taking off his tee-shirt on the balcony of Lord's at the 2002 NatWest Trophy, waving it in glee at a vanquished Andrew Flintoff.

Yesterday, Ganguly got shirty in England once again, but in a completely new manner. Earlier in the tournament, when Australia were taking on England, Ganguly got into a Twitter exchange with Shane Warne, the former Australian leg spinner did not quite agree with Dada's analysis that the home team would come out on top.

Let's bet on it
On the spot the bet was made, and if England won, Warne was to spend a whole day commentating wearing an England t-shirt. That day came up pass at Edgbaston yesterday, and sunny as it was, Warne did not even have the luxury of hiding his ignominy under a jumper.

More than once, when Warne stepped out of the ground for a cigarette, fans who wanted selfies with him asked about his attire, and the blonde bombshell was completely exasperated repeating his answer.

Warne left annoyed
"What the hell are you doing wearing this? It doesn't even look good on you," one said to him as he got into an elevator to return to the commentary box. "I know it doesn't. I hate it, but a bet is a bet, and I wasn't going to go back on my word," said Warne.

"I'll just have to get through this day somehow."

Ganguly enjoyed Warne's discomfort. Whether taking his own shirt off, or putting one on someone else, Ganguly once again found a way to get under the skin of the opposition in England.
