The Champions Trophy 2017 tournament is all set to begin, but it seems there is trouble in Team India's camp ahead of the series.

According to sources, things are not too well between India's captain Virat Kohli and head coach Anil Kumble. According to Times of India, it seems Virat Kohli and other Indian players are not satisfied with the way Anil Kumble is handling the team.

This news has just surfaced ahead of India's Champions Trophy opening match against rivals Pakistan on June 4. Indian cricket's advisory pane - Sachin Tendulkar, Sourav Ganguly and VVS Laxman have been expected to make peace between Kohli and Kumble. So far, Anil Kumble was the front runner for the job to head coach the team at least up until the 2019 World Cup. In his tenure as India head coach, Anil Kumble has led the team to victories in all tournaments in the last year.

Then what could be the reason for things turning sour between Anil Kumble and Virat Kohli's men? It is said that Kumble is quite hard on the players and according to sources, the team were more pleased with the way previous coach Ravi Shastri handled them.

"With the CoA not involved in the day-to-day working of the team, the responsibility of naming the new head coach is entrusted to the three-member panel. Neither the CoA not the board officials will be part of this process," a source in the know said.

Virender Sehwag was also reportedly asked to take up the job as India coach, but he declined the offer.
