It is well known that the Ikk Kudi singer is coming out with a new single this month-end. Unbeknownst to many, Punjabi singer-turned-Bollywood sensation Diljit Dosanjh is releasing the song, Do You Know, by himself. Call it the beginning of his new label or a self-reliant streak, the actor-singer is happy to go independent.

“There aren’t enough returns in music. Since I have made Do You Know on a staggering budget, it is only fair that I do it myself. Music is my passion, and any kind of investment feels worth it,” he says. This is his first solo romantic track after Proper Patola (2013).

The romantic track has been shot across Los Angeles. Says Diljit, “We shot it in Middleton Ranch, California, and in Hollywood. We’ve mostly shot outdoors. The song has a feel-good vibe to it. We are releasing the video on September 24.”

Ask him if Bollywood music is his next stop, and he says, “My hands are full between my music and Punjabi films. I want to please my Punjabi fans and do shows for them across the world. Yes, Bollywood happened to me; it gave me a few great friends. If any of my producer friends requests me to do a song for them, I won’t be able to say no.”
