Stoke manager Mark Hughes accused Jose Mourinho of sour grapes for refusing his post-match handshake after Manchester United's winning run ended.

United dropped Premier League points for the first time this season as Maxim Choupo-Moting capitalised on errors from Eric Bailly and Phil Jones to net a brace either side of efforts from Marcus Rashford and Romelu Lukaku.

Mourinho was dismissive of defensive tactics from the Potters in the 2-2 draw. There was then no handshake after the final whistle. "I pushed him because he was in my technical area," Hughes explained.

'Negative result'
"Maybe that's why he didn't want to shake my hand. Maybe it's because it has to be viewed as a negative result.

Mourinho brushed aside the issue. "I prefer not to answer (the) question about handshakes — it's a bad question," he said. "It makes it look like it's my fault but that's not right."

Mane sorry after red card
Meanwhile, Sadio Mane apologised to Ederson after the Liverpool star was sent off for an ugly clash with the Manchester City goalkeeper on Saturday. "I hope and wish Ederson a quick recovery. I'm so sorry he was hurt during our accidental collision on the pitch," Mane said.

Burnley edge out Crystal Palace 1-0
Chris Wood’s dream debut helped Burnley beat Crystal Palace 1-0 defeat at Turf Moor yesterday. New Zealand international Wood marked his maiden appearance for Burnley following his club record £15 million move by firing the winner early in the first half.
