India forward Aniket Jadhav's childhood coach Jaydeep Angirwal was in a VIP seat, watching the India under-17 team stretching every sinew against the Americans yesterday.
The Indians lost their opener 0-3 but Angirwal was not disappointed by the result. "The Indian team played with a 4-4-2 strategy and it worked very well. Though we lost, our boys played extremely well. It's not easy to counter a strong team like USA," said Angirwal, who witnessed the match thanks to a pass provided by Aniket.

Angirwal was seated alongside Aniket's father Anil. When asked to comment on Aniket's play, the coach said: "Aniket had a lot of control on the ball, but he did not get the assistance from his teammates. Had he received more support, the margin of defeat would have been lesser." Anil was delighted to watch his son play amidst a great atmosphere at the Jawaharlal Nehru Stadium. "I have no words to describe it," he said.
