Three-time champions of the FIFA U-17 World Cup Brazil will play New Zealand in a friendly on September 28 (5 pm) at the Mumbai Football Arena, Andheri to gear up for the main event beginning on October 6.

However, according to sources, Flamengo sensation Vinicius Jr will not be available for the clash due to league commitments in Brazil. He will join his team in Kochi few days prior to their opening game against Spain on October 7. Brazil will also face an Indian team on September 30 at 8.15 pm. It is learnt that the Indian Navy, Air India and a second string FC Pune City teams have been kept ready to face Brazil. The Three Lions will then take on the Kiwis on October 1 at 5 pm.

The senior India men's team will also be training at the same venue ahead of their AFC Asian Cup qualifiers against Macau in Bangalore on October 11, but Mumbai District Football Association chairman Aaditya Thackeray ensured that every team will be given plenty of time to train.
