Buzz is that actress Amrita Singh had been approached to judge the upcoming season of the celebrity dance reality show 'Nach Baliye'. Apparently, she had also given her nod to the makers, Balaji, due to their decade-long association, but backed out at the last minute.

Says a source, "She is occasionally seen in Bollywood films and the makers felt it would be novel for the audience to see her judge a dance show. She was in talks with them and had evinced interest initially, but then decided against it."

Amrita's recent Bollywood outings were '2 States' (2014) and 'Aurangazeb' (2013). Adds the source, "She may have backed out as she felt she wouldn't be able to handle the drama and tears on reality shows. So, she informed the makers that she doesn't see herself doing the high-spirited stuff."

The actress remained unavailable for comment.

Meanwhile, the makers' quest for an all-new jury continues. The last two seasons of 'Nach Baliye' were judged by filmmaker Sajid Khan, choreographer Terrence Lewis and actress Shilpa Shetty. Farhan Akhtar and Aishwarya Rai Bachchan were reportedly approached for the show, but they declined the offer.
