A 14-year-old school girl from Virar was allegedly assaulted with a sharp object by an unidentified biker after she objected to his rash riding.

The incident happened at around 1.45pm when the Class X student, a resident of Virar (East), had gone out to meet a friend. According to a report in the Times of India, she alighted from an autorickshaw outside Makwana Complex on Veer Savarkar Road in Virar (East), where her friend was attending a tuition class. The friend had asked her to wait outside the complex.
As she was waiting for her friend, a helmetless biker in his early 40s rode past her dangerously .
The teen, who had not seen the bike approach, yelled about 'teaching the biker a lesson on how to ride safely'. Enraged, the biker reversed towards her and began abusing her for standing alone on the roadside.
The two got into a heated argument, when the biker pulled out a sharp object from his pocket and slashed her right arm and fled on his two-wheeler.
The girl sustained four deep cuts on the arm. She was then helped by locals to get to the hospital for medical aid. The matter has been registered with the Virar Police.
The Virar police have booked the unidentified accused under Indian Penal Code sections 279 (rash driving), 324 (voluntarily causing hurt) and 504 (intentional insult).
The girl has provided the accused's description to the police, as he was not wearing a helmet. While the girl did not note down the registration number of the bike, she gave details such as its colour and its make.
