Yesterday's ISL-3 semi-final second leg encounter was a crucial one for Mumbai City FC given they lost by a goal in the first leg to Atletico de Kolkata, and the Mumbai Football Arena was filled to capacity with 7690 emotional fans, most of whom were chanting Ganpati Bappa Morya on top of their voices in support of the home side.

Interestingly, there was not a single Mumbai-based player on the field though – not until the second half at least – before Keegan Pereira was brought on by Atletico de Kolkata. Else no one from the 22-man Mumbai line-up is based out of the city.

Bollywood unites football
Chennaiyin FC owner and Bollywood actor Abhishek Bachchan got emotional in the stands during yesterday's Mumbai City FC vs Atletico de Kolkata ISL semi-final second leg as the host team's owner and fellow Bollywood actor Ranbir Kapoor.

It is learnt that though Bachchan Jr's team failed to make it to the semi-finals, the football-crazy actor was more than excited when Kapoor's team entered the last four and was more than happy to accept his Lounge seat invitation at the Mumbai Football Arena. Both actors play for the same Bollywood All-Star football team led by by Bachchan.
