Six-year-old Jack Frost from trainer Vinesh's yard is one of the four runners in the grade 3, A C Ardeshir Trophy, the prime event of Sunday's races to be run at Mahalaxmi.
Besides Be Fifty-Two, whom he had humbled in last start, he faces two younger rivals in Mrs Patmore, winner of the Indian 1000 Guineas, and London, who narrowly lost the Hyderabad 1000 Guineas, both being four-year-olds. Despite the trip distance of mile which may be viewed as more favourable to the younger duo, I feel Jack Frost will be able to put it across them all on the strength of his current fitness and form, and therefore, nominate him as first choice. First race at 5 pm.
