With his delayed arrival, Justin Bieber is giving organisers of the India leg of his Purpose World Tour a tough time. While Beliebers await his arrival, his extended stay in Dubai, where he performed last, has disrupted the itinerary of his seven-day India schedule. He was to originally arrive in the city on Sunday, welcomed by Rajasthani dancers.

It was to be followed by a lavish dinner served by royal butlers from Rajasthan. Yesterday, he was to attend a black tie boxing night, followed by the after-party with DJ Aqeel and Mr Right on the decks. As the crew partied for Bieber in India, the 21-year-old indulged in revelry by choosing to party, shop and play adventure sports, like dune bashing, in Dubai.

In India, Lower Parel's St Regis came alive with Aqeel's beats as he rehashed some of his hits with Bieber's chartbusters. Speaking to mid-day after the performance, Aqeel said, "I played a mix of Bollywood songs, some of my hits as well as popular tracks by Bieber like Sorry and Love Yourself. The party started post-midnight and went on till 4 am. I played for 45 minutes. Sohail and Arbaaz (Khan) and Ujjwala Raut were there." Rehearsals for the gig at the stadium, source said, took place yesterday without the lead performer.
Speaking to mid-day on Sunday, concert host, English actress-model Elarica Johnson, had said, "We are waiting for the rehearsals to kick-off with Bieber from tomorrow. I couldn't connect with him before arriving in India because he was touring. This event is the biggest thing I've done as host. I'm also excited about (Norwegian DJ) Alan Walker's performance."

If all goes as planned, Justin Bieber may finally touch down today. This morning, he tweeted, "Dubai is incredible... India you are next."
