"I wasn't sure if I wanted to do so much homework, that too for a role in another language," admits Kajol as we sit down to discuss her next project, Dhanush's upcoming action-drama VIP 2. It marks the actress' comeback to Tamil films after two decades and she says it took a great deal of cajoling on Dhanush's part for her to sign the movie.

"It was all because of Dhanush and Soundarya Rajinikanth (director), who really made me feel comfortable. In fact, the convincing point was that 50 per cent of my dialogues would be in English. So, I was stress-free," Kajol says, flashing her trademark smile.

Buzz is that Kajol plays a grey character in the film, but she prefers to stay mum and keep the suspense intact. "I have strict instructions from Soundarya not to reveal anything. All I can say is that it is very different from what you have seen of me on screen."

Over the past few years, Kajol has been selective about work in Bollywood even as she has a full-time job at hand — raising two children, Nysa (14) and Yug (7). "I don't let stardom affect my duties as a mother. Once I am done with my work commitments, I try to spend maximum time with my kids and educate them while having fun at the same time," she says on the sidelines of the recent Mcvities Kids Culinaire festival."
