Typically, Leena Vaswani is a very composed danseuse. However, she turns into a lithe attacker while listening to a composition by Delhi-based band Emperor Minge. "She is merely reacting to the lyrics of a song that we will be performing tonight," assures Stefan Kaye, keyboardist and vocalist from Emperor Minge as we wonder what else awaits us at this evening of Bacchanalian revelry.
The Stiff Kittens' Medicine Show is a medley of talented, quirky and impish artists from Mumbai and Delhi. Tonight, they will present a performance in the city, unlike anything seen before.
Like Medicine Shows that were a rage in the United States in the 19th century, this show too has several lively entertainment acts lined up. But unlike the dubious Medicine Shows that peddled remedies with extravagant claims to prolong life or cure impotency, tonight's show will simply promoteu00a0 the sponsor's brand of whiskey. So while you take a swig, look out for a "sinister-looking" suitcase, a live animal sex show and a Latino porn star.

The Medicine Show was first performed nearly two years ago in Delhi. Since then it has been steadily gaining a loyal audience. The show does not follow a set storyline; even cast members keep changing. So, try as he may, even Stefan can't say how tonight's show will shape up. "We have acts that are not afraid to push the boundaries. Each artist comes up with his/her own material and then we try to feed off each other. Simply put, the best stuff comes out when we're just sitting around bouncing off ideas and drinking lots of beer," says Stefan. So, sit back and soak in the impromptu madness and mayhem.
