Kunal Kemmu revealed to Mid-day.com that he has plans to make a biopic on the life of India's topmost lawyer, Ram Jethmalani. Ram Jethmalani has served as Union Law Minister of India and also the Chairman of the Bar Council of India. He is the highest paid lawyer in India and also the most feared and revered one as well.
Kunal will co-produce the biopic with Ronnie Screwvala. Says Kunal, "We have all its rights. It's in process. But we are not ready to discuss the cast of the film as it is too share those details"
Kunal says, " I knew very little about them. But since I got the information I got curious. I have become his fan very recently. I had only heard about him in news till two years ago. My father used to keep telling about him. But since most of my friends are lawyers, I used to listen to them discuss him and no conversation was complete without the mention of his name. I realised that he was the Grand Daddy of Law. Then I read one of his books and shared the idea of making a biopic on with Soha. Then we decided that we will work on it. After this we met Mr Jethmalani and told him about our plan to make a biopic on him. He asked me who would be interested in my life. So we said that you do not even have an idea of how much people are interested in you. That's why we decided that we will not make the film without consulting his opinion and advice. "
So will this film cover his controversies and some of the most controversial cases in which he was the defence lawyer? Kunal refused to answer on that and said that since they are still scripting, it is not wise to share the details of the story and script. Kunal Kemmu will be next seen in 'Golmaal Again' and Soha Ali Khan will be seen in 'Saheb, Biwi Aur Gangster 3'.
