Do you ever get curious about what stories the tiny lanes of Mumbai hold? Here’s an interesting way of finding out. Open Bracket, a creative platform along with the People Place Project, Khaki tours and venue partners Todi Mill Socials is organising The Urban Treasure Hunt. “We are on a mission to engage people in activities that nurture creativity. That’s where the idea of the treasure hunt comes from,” says Parnavi Karandikar, founder, Open Bracket.

But this one comes with a twist. This event is a hunt for stories to discover a place by engaging with the people who live, work and shape the place as we see it. “We have plotted trails across the precincts of Dadar and Lower Parel and participants will team up in groups of two or three. They have to solve clues in the beginning and along the way. A few tips for writing and photography will also be discussed that will come in handy during the hunt,” says Karandikar.

The treasure hunt will have participants walking and using public transport as well. “We chose Lower Parel and Dadar as they have played major roles in the history and evolution of Mumbai,” she says.

Anyone above the age of 16 can participate. So if you are a photographer, or are interested in writing and journalism or just someone who wishes to do something meaningful and fun over the weekend, here’s your chance.
