A leopard was caught on camera at the Yamuna Biodiversity Park (YBP) in Delhi. According to a report by the Times of India, experts say that since the spotted cat's pugmarks were regularly seen in the past two weeks, it may have take up residence there.

Scientists and the park's support staff, who captured the leopard on camera, plan to install more surveillance devices to observe the animal. Furthermore leopard pugmarks were found at Asola Wildlife Sanctuary and Usmanpur last year.

Several camera traps were set up in Bandhwari and Mangar areas near Gurgaon, in order to capture leopard and hyena sightings.

This is the first time where a leopard has been caught on camera in the capital. Officials at YBP have placed loose mud traps all over the park to find the animal and even make a cast out of its pugmarks.
