Goals from Mayank Bhandari and Pranay Kanekar helped Holy Cross (Kurla) beat St Mary's (Andheri) 2-0 in the Mumbai Schools Sports Association (MSSA)-organised inter-school boys under-16 Division IV knockout football tournament at Azad Maidan on Saturday.

It took just eight minutes for the Kurla outfit to strike as skipper Mayank rose to the occasion and found the back of the net after receiving a cross from teammate Siddharth Kotian positioned on the wings.
A few minutes later, St Mary's came close to equaliing with striker Sohail Qureshi attempting a shot from close range but Holy Cross goalkeeper Manav Chhetre deny him with a fine save.
Holy Cross then doubled their lead in the 32nd minute as Pranay hammered into the net from just outside the penalty area following a vital assist from Yuvraj Fharande.
