Maharashtra CA not to file intervention in SC against Lodhau00c3u00a2u00c2u0080u00c2u0099s recommendations

Pune: Although the Board of Control for Cricket in India (BCCI) has permitted its state units to file individual interventions regarding their reservations against the Justice Lodha Committee’s recommendations, the Maharashtra Cricket Association (MCA) does not intend to file any suit in the Supreme Court.

“We have decided not to file any interventions in the Supreme Court,” MCA president Ajay Shirke told mid-day yesterday.


Does that indicate that the MCA is fine with the implementations of the recommendations? Shirke said: “There is no indication as such. We want to remain litigation-free, that’s all.”

Almost every state association is expected to file their interventions in the Supreme Court while the BCCI will file an affidavit taking into account the common grounds of reservations against the recommendations.
