Monaco: Novak Djokovic suffered a shock 2-6, 6-3, 5-7 defeat to Belgium's David Goffin in the quarter-finals of the Monte carlo masters here yesterday.


Interestingly, the Serbian was previously stretched to three sets in his prequarter-final too. He struggled before beating Spain's Pablo Carreno 6-2, 4-6, 6-4.


Meanwhile, Albert Ramos-Vinolas continued his giant-killing spree here by stunning fifth seed Marin Cilic yesterday. After dumping out World No. 1 Andy Murray in the third round the day before, the Spaniard tamed Cilic 6-2, 6-7 (5/7), 6-2 to enter his first Masters 1000 semifinal. 

In the men's doubles event, India's Rohan Bopanna and his partner Pablo Cuevas stunned top seeds Finland's Henri Kontinen and Australian John Peers 3-6, 6-3, 13-11 to enter the semi-finals here.

Earlier, in the prequarter-finals, Bopanna-Busta had beaten fifth seeds Raven Klaasen and Rajeev Ram 6-7 (6), 6-4, 10-6.
