Following a complaint filed by a 37-year-old woman, the Bandra Kurla Complex (BKC) police booked a senior official of the Mumbai Metropolitan Region Development Authority (MMRDA), for allegedly molesting the former, who works in the same office. According to police, the accused Milind Patil, who works at a higher position in MMRDA's BKC head office, tried to sexually harass the woman a couple of times in the past.

In her complaint to the police, the victim said, "Last year during Diwali, when I wished Patil by shaking hands with him, he kissed my hand. I was shocked, but I did not react to avoid any kind of embarrassment. But this only encouraged him and he did not stop sexually harassing me."

"Once Patil even forced her to sit on his lap, but she somehow managed to escape. However, he had followed her after she left the place. The accused would also stalk her in the office and whistle at her," said an officer from the BKC police station.
