There will be a professional guide leading the way, and you will also be provided with refreshments and snacks. All you have to do is bring along your cycle and a water bottle. Due to the distance involved, this ride is best suited to those who are used to cycling long distances.

Go on a heritage walk with a difference
Parivartak is the name of the social reform-themed walk conducted by Awestrich. On this walk, you will learn about India's first ever practising woman doctor, Sardar Vallabhbhai Patel's brother Vithalbhai, India's first proponent of family planning, a shipping magnate who was a woman, and more.

Explore windmills, palaces and waterfalls
Go on a weekend tour to Phaltan, a former non-salute Maratha princely state in Satara. While you're here, marvel at hundreds of stark white windmills that dot the lush landscape at Pussegaon, and soak in the view of gushing waterfalls at Thoseghar. If a trip through history is what you seek, visit the Phaltan Rajwada (in pic), the former residence of the royal family. Built in 1875, it features opulent heritage halls and six courtyards. You can also explore Ajinkyatara Fort or visit Aundh Museum. While in Phaltan, you could stay at the Jakson Inns property.
FROM: August 13 to 15
AT: Phaltan, Satara.

Over time, it fell into the hands of various dynasties, finally ending up with the British. During the Maratha occupation, the fort was host to the kingdom's treasury. The trek will begin after lunch; once at the top, you will have time to explore the fort.
