For a book lover who hasn't strayed over to the Kindle-side, a bookmark makes for a thoughtful gift - especially if that bookmark is dedicated to a beloved character like Sirius Black from a favourite series like Harry Potter. For Mumbai-based freelance artist Manasi Deshpande, 22, these bookmarks are simply an extension of her love for reading. "I am a big fan of Harry Potter and so, thought of creating cards and bookmarks with the characters and iconic lines by them," says Deshpande, who goes by the moniker The Comical Cyanide.

She is presently working on an exclusive Harry Potter set. If you're not a fan of the Boy Who Lived, check out her other prints featuring motivational lines; a girl modelled on herself swimming in a glass of wine, rollerblading or just being Alice in Wonderland; and a tabby cat named Miss Nefer or Neferkitty. The designs are minimalist and colourful. "I take inspiration from everything that is happening around me and to me," she sums up.
