Vile Parle witnessed a bloody accident on Sunday morning, after a speeding tempo and BMW X1 crashed, leaving the driver of the tempo dead and its cleaner injured. Rajiv Shah, 47, was driving the car and was accompanied by two friends.

The incident occurred around 4.45 am near the Parleshwar circle, when Shah was on his way to Marine Drive for a practise session for an upcoming 42-km marathon.

Shah's friend said, "The tempo was heading north, we were moving south. At the circle, the speeding tempo crashed into the car; the driver was not wearing a seat belt. My friend injured his leg."

The police, Shah and his friends took the driver, Sunil Jaiswal, to Cooper hospital.

Sunil was heading towards Andheri with his tempo loaded with milk. Rajan Jaiswal, the cleaner and also the complainant in the case, told the police the car crashed into their tempo.

Sunil suffered head injuries and started bleeding, sources said. Rajan, injured on his legs, hand and head, is undergoing treatment at the hospital.
