Last night, a studio in Goregoan (E) saw backdrop dancers in red reflector goggles, high ponytails and golden outfits shake their booty with Sonakshi Sinha, Badshah and Diljit Dosanjh. The trio was shooting for a music video, 'Move Your Lakk', which required them to rehearse and shoot amid umpteen costume changes, as choreographer Adil Shaikh called the shots.

Badshah has collaborated with Diljit and Sona for the single, which will be part of her upcoming film, 'Noor'.

Says Badshah, "When I wrote and composed the track, I wanted Diljit bhai to sing it. I am collaborating with him after four years. I knew Sona loves to sing, and we hit it off two years ago when we were part of a stage show. We have wanted to collaborate for a while, and I am glad it has finally happened."

A popular voice in the North, Diljit is known for his soulful, romantic numbers. However, he has rapped in the track. "I don't like to do rap songs. I agreed this time only because of my old association with Badshah. I prefer singing folk songs. But when Badshah insisted, there was no way I could say no," said Diljit, adding. "I will never do playback in a film for another actor. Since this was for a music video, I agreed."

Sonakshi says Move Your Lakk is a promotional song. "It's a fun film and the track captures the spirit of friendship, which is an integral part of the film."

She admits she is not a trained singer, "but I like to sing. Badshah and Diljit have sung most of it. Badshah wanted me to croon a couple of lines. It will become the party anthem of the year."
