Pakistan cricketer Mohammad Amir announced the birth of a baby girl yesterday. He tweeted this picture and captioned it: "Shukar Allhumdulilah blessed with the Rehmat of Allah! Mashallah."

It was announced on Monday by captain Sarfraz Ahmed that he will not feature in the three-match Twenty20 series in Lahore as he and his wife Narjis were expecting their first child. Sohail Khan has replaced him.

Amir took three wickets against India in the Champions Trophy final to seal Pakistan's victory at the Oval in June. He has not returned to Pakistan since and was busy playing for Essex in the County championship.
