It's a new year and the new year has seen the Indian limited-overs cricket team get a new skipper. Well, the new captain Virat Kohli and his boys will now be seen in new outfits.

Team India will be seen in their new striking ODI kit when they take the field against England in the first one-dayer at the MCA stadium in Pune on Sunday.
Nike had, in January 2015, unveiled a new ODI jersey for the Indian team ahead of their one-day international triangular series in Australia. That lightweight kit -- each jersey and bottom -- was made out of an average of 33 recycled plastic bottles.

This time around the jerseys, which were launched on Thursday with the motto 'Self-Belief', has two new key features.
With the game evolving over time, the requirements athletes too have changed and Nike designers engaged with the Indian cricket team to help understand their demands in order to create the most innovative team kit for Team India.
According to the Nike, the new kit includes '4D Quickness' -- a feature that will allow the cricketers to have multi-directional and multi-dimensional stretching for quickness along with tuned breathability that will help with temperature regulation to keep the athletes cool.

Talking about the new kit, MS Dhoni said, "The game has been evolving over the years and the need to have kits that are designed to suit the modern game has always been the priority for the team management and Nike. Features like the 4D quickness and Zero distractions will definitely help the team on the field."
The Zero distractions feature on the new kit is designed to help minimize distractions and maximize performance on the field.
