Priyanka Chopra's stint as FBI agent Alex Parrish in 'Quantico' was rumoured to end following the show's plummeting TRPs in season 2. However, to her delight, a third season has been commissioned by the television network.

Taking to social media yesterday, the actress wrote, "So excited about the season 3 pick up for #Quantico. Congrats to everyone who made it happen! #AlexParrish will be back soon (sic)."

The previous two seasons had 22 episodes each, but the third one will only have a 13-episode run. The reason, sources close to her say, is that Priyanka wants to focus equally on her Bollywood career.

The actress, who is currently in US promoting her Hollywood debut, Baywatch, will be back in the country next month to wrap up brand commitments. Apart from that, Pecee wants to devote more time to her production banner, which is making regional movies as well as announcements of her upcoming Bollywood projects.

By July-end, Priyanka will be back in the US and start training for Quantico before she starts shooting in August, informs the actress' spokesperson.

Priyanka, in an earlier interview, had told us, "I wish I could stay home for longer. But success comes with a cost. I am planning to stay longer in Mumbai whenever time permits. Once Baywatch releases, I'll be able to spend time with them before other commitments take over."
