Filmmaker claims his next with Jr Bachchan is not based on encounter specialist Pradeep Sharma
Fresh out of his Sarkar 3 mode, Ram Gopal Varma has begun prepping for his next, Arrest. The film stars Abhishek Bachchan in the lead. It was rumoured that the movie is based on the life of a real life cop. Multiple reports claimed that the actor's role in the film is modelled on former encounter specialist Pradeep Sharma. However, Ramu has now set the record straight.

"Abhishek plays a cop in the film. It is not based on anyone's life, it is a completely fictional story. It is something related to the cops."
Divulging a few details, he told PTI, "It partly has a connection to underworld, but the story is set in today's times.
The issues are different today." The filmmaker also quashed rumours of Huma Qureshi being part of the film. "Arrest is more of a guy's film. There will be a leading lady but she does not have a prominent part," he clarified.
