Bollywood actress Raveena Tandon's 'Maatr' is in trouble. Film financier Raju Shah of YT Capital has got an injunction on the film, restraining the release of the movie until the producer of the film Anjum Rivzi clears the debt.

The court has also restrained the producers of 'Maatr' to not part with the prints of the film till the amount is recovered by Shah from Rizvi. Shah's lawyer Rajiv Narula said, "The makers of the film will not be able to release the film till they return Rs 2 crore that are due to pay to Shah."

Raju Shah said, "There is an amount Anjum is supposed to pay me which was given to him during the making of 'Katha'. That film has not released but he is ready with another film. The case has been going on for some time. It is just that the decree has been given in our favour.''

The court also noted that the makers of the film have been issued summons but they never appeared before the court. The petitioner also sought a restraining order against the release of the film and a court receiver till the debt is cleared. The court has said that the injunction will operate immediately while the producers be given the order copy by April 4 and the case has been kept for further hearing on April 10.

The film 'Maatr', starring Raveena Tandon, Alisha Khan, Madhur Mittal and directed by Ashtar Sayed, is about a mother whose daughter is raped and she dies, while the mother carries on with her fight to get justice.
