National Football League (NFL) star Russell Wilson and his singer wife Ciara celebrated their first wedding anniversary last weekend in Mexico. The couple, who tied the knot on July 6 in a castle in England, surprised each other with some romantic gestures. Ciara posted a picture (below right) on Instagram of a bed with white sheets covered with rose petals arranged as R+C.

"I tried to plan things for the day, but he wouldn't let me. Twas A Perfect Day. The simple things are the sweetest #1yearAnniversary," she wrote on Twitter. She also surprised her husband with an airplane with a banner that read, "Happy 1 Year Baby! YAY! I love you! I'm Grateful to God for the Love he has given me, by putting you in my life. I have all that I need.
Truly 1 of the Best years of my life."
Russell too posted his own personal message on Instagram, which was a video clip from the couple's wedding. "Love. Indescribable Love. 1 year! Years don't matter however when it's Forever. @Ciara."
