It was a case of 'so near and yet so far' for Indian women's team as they suffered a middle and lower order batting collapse to lose to England by 9 runs in a nail-biting final of the ICC Women's World Cup final at Lord's Cricket Ground in London on Sunday.

But, even though India's eves lost to a better opponent in the World Cup final, they were praised all over twitter by some prominent celebrities in sports and Bollywood.
Sachin Tendulkar, Virender Sehwag, Akshay Kumar, Priyanka Chopra and Rahul Gandhi toplined the wishing list as they termed the Indian women's team as 'revolutionary' and also gave them a thumbs up for their fighting spirit.

England, being put into bat, posted a total of 228 runs. India replied with a great start as Punam Raut and Harmanpreet Kaur both scored fifites. However, once they fell, India lost wickets in quick time - 7 wickets in 28 runs - to end up being bowled out fot 219 runs.
