Shetty, who was also the co-owner of the Indian Premier League (IPL) franchise Rajasthan Royals, earlier captained by Warne, said she is still learning the nuances of the sport.

"I'm a poker player but not like these pros of the game. I'm still learning the nuances of the sport. I was introduced to the sport by Shane Warne couple of years ago," said the winner of the British reality TV series Celebrity Big Brother 5.

She emphasised the fact that poker is game of skills contrary to perception that it's gambling. "I believe this is skill-based sport contrary to the belief that it has a lot to do with gambling."

When asked if she will be participating in league through any team, Shetty said: "I'm just a small fish in comparison to all these sharks who will participate in the league. So, I'm just going to take a back seat and watch the fun."
