Have you ever encountered a paranormal activity, or been curious to hear the stories of others who have? This weekend, attend Ghostly Encounters, an event that encourages strangers to bond over ghost stories.

Organised by a new event management partnership company, Eventurally, this will be the first edition of a series of meet-ups, titled Guftagu. "In this city, strangers don’t end up interacting with each other outside of public spaces, and even that can’t really be called an interaction. We wanted to change that and bring people together so they could get to know each other," says Ritesh Bhaskaran, who started Eventurally with his friends Kartik Bhatia and Kiran Shetty.

Bhaskaran reveals that they chose to kick off the series with ghost stories as people don’t openly talk about their experiences for fear of being mocked. "This will be a comfortable space for like-minded people. Moreover, there is no single speaker; I will only moderate the event," he adds. The organisers promise that the décor and ambience for the evening will suit the theme.

"We are not going to offer any kind of counselling to people who are experiencing paranormal activity in their lives. We’re just offering them a forum for discussion," clarifies Bhaskaran.
