Shreyas Talpade: Iqbal was a turning point in my career

Shreyas Talpade made a smashing debut in Bollywood with his film 'Iqbal' in which he played a specially-abled cricketer who aspires to be a part of the Indian cricket team. At a recently held event in Mumbai Shreyas, spoke about the film which helped him carve a niche for himself in Bollywood.

"Iqbal will always be special to me. It was the turning point in my life. It is because of 'Iqbal' that I have climbed scaled such heights in my career. For that, I will be forever grateful to Nagesh Kukunoor and Subhash Ghai who gave me a chance to prove myself through the film. It is an honour for me to meet them again after 12 years and be on the share the dais as them. He further added, " I had to audition for the role. Nagesh was looking for a chap who could bowl and bat, as the character was a cricketer. "

Shreyas Talpade recently directed the film 'Poster Boys'. Sunny Deol and Bobby Deol also starred in the film. He will be next seen in the film 'Golmaal Again' which releases this Diwali.
