Bollywood singer Toshi Sabri lashed out at cricketers Virat Kohli and Shikhar Dhawan for sharing a video of a girl crying that went viral last week, saying the child is his niece and that the video was not meant to be made public.

Several cricketers including Virat Kohli, Shikhar Dhawan, Yuvraj Singh and Robin Uthappa had shared the video on social media, appealing to parents to not indulge in child abuse.
It has now come to light that the weeping girl in the video is 3-year-old Haya, niece of singer-composer duo Toshi and Shaarib Sabri.

While speaking to Hindustan Times, singer Toshi Sabri said, "Virat Kohli and Shikhar Dhawan don't know about us. We know about our child better. Haya's nature is such that after being scolded, the next minute she runs off to play. But, because of her nature if we don't push her, she won't study."
He told the newspaper, "The video was made by the child's mother, who wanted to show her brother and husband that how stubborn the girl has become."
Toshi further told the daily, "The homework she gets in nursery, of learning numbers, she'll never be able to learn. All the crying was for that moment so that her mother doesn't make her study and let her play. Haya is just about 3-years-old). It's not a big issue. In every house there are different kind of children. Ours is a very stubborn child but is extremely dear to us."
When asked about Haya's mother's reaction, Toshi said, "When others are feeling bad on seeing the video, then being a mother of course she's upset too."

Now, Toshi and Shaarib have released a video talking about their niece Haya's viral clip. In the footage shared on Facebook, Toshi and Sharib are now thanking Virat, Shikhar and other celebs who condemned the act by saying that they would have done the same.
They have also appealed to people to leave their niece alone following the incident.
While posting the video, Toshi Sabri wrote, "A heartfelt message for all, for the video of our niece that had gone viral recently, here is us on behalf of her mother whose apple of the eye she is and every family member who loves her. - Thank you Shaarib & Toshi #Love #MotherDaughter #LoveOurNiece"
