The set of R Balki's Padman in Manori doubled up as a party venue on Thursday to celebrate lead pair Akshay Kumar and Sonam Kapoor's National Awards win. Sonam and Akki received the coveted honour in Delhi a day earlier for Neerja and Rustom, respectively.

A unit hand says, "Everyone on set decided to get a cake for them. We popped open a bottle of champagne too."
The actors are currently filming a key sequence in the film. Since the set is in Manori, the duo has been travelling by jetty every day. Sonam considers this Balki movie special. "I was informed that I have won the National Award the day I started shooting for Padman, at the same place where we shot the last scene of Neerja," she had told us earlier.
